Bovine tuberculosis: Typical daignostic skin reaction following injection with tuberculin in a buffalo sufffering from BTB (wtb skin react)
Note the thickened skin and superficial epidermal necrosis following the injection of bovine PPD (tuberculin) into the skin for diagnostic purposes. This severe reaction is mostly associated with the early stage of the disease and animals slaughtered at that stage usualy have few lesions that may be difficult to detect at meat inspection, or necropsy
